The winter slump is something I have been feeling hard the whole month of January and is now seeping into February. Is it the constant unpredictable Maritime Weather? Is it that the Superbowl and various award shows have messed with my tv viewing schedule? Or is it because each day the news and social media are worse and worse.
Umm... all the above.
So here are some small positives that are getting me through the longest month ever. Which I also hope bring you a small amount of joy.
1. Lilo is rocking an adorable red sweater. (Not by her choice but still adorable)
2. The Beavers are super busy earning badges and learning new things.
They even learned about mental health and how to help their friends when they are down.
3. HeART youth are creating away, working together to make show stop pieces like these two little friendos.
4. I won an award and got to attend a fancy dinner all in supportive of a hardworking local organization. Plus spend some time with some pretty powerful women.
5. The Sims, one of mine recently dropped out of university, married a mermaid and now lives on the beach with him and four mermaid children (life dreams right here).
Also fun fact the Sims Games just turned 20! 20 years of creating simulated lives where you can live our your dreams or cause mayhem.
(No judgements here I too have deleted the pool latter a time or two).
Whatever is bringing you some joy in the long cold month, hold on to it. As like all things, this longest month too shall pass. Spring will make an appearance, and you will be able to enjoy the outside where the air does not hurt your face (someday, maybe in May, but someday).
